Twerking and other dances shaped by the African diaspora carry history, lived experiences, and stories. Learning where the movement comes from adds depth and meaning to the way it is practised.
DISCOVER WHATTWERKING CANMOVE WITHIN YOU
Your space to explore Twerking and hip movement in all their forms - with online courses, events, education and a community that brings together dancers and those who inspire others.
Movement with roots
We bring technique, cultural awareness, and community into the same room. Through classes, talks, workshops, and events, dancers explore the movement while learning about the cultures and communities that shaped it.
Dance naturally evolves through new interpretations. We embrace this evolution without separating the movement from its roots.
A supportive space to learn and grow together, where shared practice, education, and exchange shape a real community.

FAQ
Choose Beginner for the very foundation. If you have never twerked before, then the Beginners Course "HOME(T)WORK" is perfect for you, as it explains the main Twerk techniques slowly and digestable. The Intermediate Level is either for experienced Beginners or Intermediates who dont need as much guidance on the basic technique, can follow choreographies well and are ready for more technical variation. The X-pert is for skilled Intermediates or Advanced dancers and teachers, who want to build more repertoire to avoid repeated movement or refine and further their technique with a higher complexity.
