Cancellation Policy
Withdrawal, Refunds and Cancellations
Effective 12 August 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies in particular to digital content, courses, choreographies, Instructor Training, event passes, workshops, license renewals, and other twerXout® offers, unless the relevant Checkout or a separate written agreement provides otherwise.
Mandatory statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. Withdrawal Rights
The mandatory consumer law that applies, in particular the law based on the consumer's habitual residence, determines which withdrawal rights apply.
2.1 Switzerland
Under Swiss law, online purchases generally carry no general statutory right of withdrawal. This generally applies to digital content and online courses as well as event and workshop bookings.
Digital content and online products:
Digital content is supplied or made available immediately after a successful purchase. The purchase is generally binding and non-refundable once the content has been supplied.
Events and workshops:
Event and workshop bookings are generally binding. A cancellation by the participant or failure to attend does not create a right to a refund.
Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
2.2 Germany and Other European Union Countries
Consumers in Germany and other EU Member States generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. The applicable mandatory national consumer-protection laws also apply.
Digital content and online products:
As part of the purchase, the consumer agrees to the Terms and Conditions, confirms that they have read this Cancellation Policy, and expressly confirms:
- that twerXout® may begin supplying the digital content before the withdrawal period expires; and
- that they understand that their statutory right of withdrawal will be lost when supply begins.
Access to digital products is provided immediately after a successful purchase. Where the statutory requirements are met, the right of withdrawal therefore expires when supply begins. The required contract confirmation is then provided to the consumer with the order confirmation.
For consumers in Germany, section 356(6) of the German Civil Code (BGB) applies in particular. In other EU Member States, the corresponding mandatory national provisions based on EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU apply.
Events and workshops:
There is generally no statutory right of withdrawal for services related to leisure activities booked for a specific date or period. For consumers in Germany, section 312g(2)(9) BGB applies in particular.
2.3 Other Countries
For consumers outside Switzerland and the European Union, the mandatory withdrawal and consumer-protection rights of the applicable country apply.
Unless mandatory statutory rights provide otherwise, event bookings and purchases of digital content are binding.
3. Digital Content and Online Products
Digital content includes Member Portal access, videos, courses, choreographies, download files, private content, and online training materials.
Section 2 governs withdrawal and refunds. Unless a mandatory statutory right provides otherwise, purchases of digital content are generally final and non-refundable once the agreed supply has begun.
4. Instructor Training
Instructor Training is designed as an online training path. Fees include access to the training materials, review and assessment procedures, the first Instructor License, the first license year, and the additional resources described in the relevant offer.
Access to the digital training materials is activated immediately after a successful purchase. For consumers in Germany, as described in section 2.2, the requirements of section 356(6) BGB govern the expiry of the right of withdrawal when supply begins.
After purchase and the valid expiry of an existing right of withdrawal, fees are generally non-refundable. This applies in particular if a person:
- does not complete the training;
- does not submit Assessment Videos;
- does not pass Certification Review;
- does not receive a license as a Licensed Instructor;
- does not renew the license later.
Buying Instructor Training alone does not guarantee certification, license approval, brand rights, public listing, employment, a partnership relationship, customers, or income.
Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
5. License Renewals
License-renewal fees keep the relevant Instructor License active for the stated renewal period.
The license renewal and the associated renewed digital access are activated immediately after a successful purchase. Where digital content is supplied, the requirements of section 356(6) BGB described in section 2.2 apply to consumers in Germany.
Unless a mandatory statutory right provides otherwise, renewal fees are generally non-refundable after activation.
After a license expires, the twerXout® brand and Instructor Materials may not be used until the license has been properly renewed and the applicable requirements have again been met.
6. Events, Workshops and Cancellations
Section 2 governs statutory withdrawal rights for events and workshops.
A cancellation by the participant or failure to attend generally does not create a right to a refund or credit unless a mandatory statutory right provides otherwise.
Discretionary Ticket Transfer
Where operationally possible, twerXout® may allow a ticket to be transferred to another person. For sold-out events, twerXout® may check whether people are on the waiting list and, on request, put the parties in contact.
The existing and new participants handle payment solely between themselves. twerXout® does not make a refund or resale payment. Once the participants have reached an agreement, they must inform twerXout® of the transfer so that the participant name can be changed.
A Full Pass may be transferred in full to one person only. It may not be divided between several people or individual event days, or resold as separate day passes.
Changes, Postponements and Cancellations
In the event of a material change, statutory cancellation, refund, and other rights remain unaffected. Section 7, “Events and Workshops,” of the Terms and Conditions governs non-material changes.
If an event is postponed to a replacement date, twerXout® will provide the replacement date and the options available in the specific circumstances, including transfer, credit, or refund. Mandatory statutory rights arising from a material date change remain unaffected.
If twerXout® cancels an event or workshop in full and no replacement event takes place, twerXout® will refund the purchase price paid.
